The Egyptian Company for Salts and Minerals in Fayoum (Emsal) was established as an Egyptian joint stock company in 1984 according to the Investment and Free Zones Law No. 43 of 1974.
Company products
 Sodium sulfate salt with a production capacity of 120 thousand tons annually supplies the Egyptian dry detergents industry, as well as the glass and paper pulp and textile dyeing industry with its needs.
Sodium chloride salt with a production capacity of 150 thousand tons / year, of which 120 thousand tons of human salt under the name Bono and 30 thousand tons of industrial salt.
Magnesium Sulfate (Epsom salt) with a production capacity of 27 thousand tons annually with standard quality specifications.
The high purity sodium chloride salt (vacuum) is used as a basic material in the dairy and food industry, as well as in the manufacture of sodium carbonate, caustic soda, chlorine gas, and textile.
Tablet salt: ultra pure with the latest international standards that are used in the process of activating resin used in removing hardness of water in industrial companies, steam and electricity generating stations, major hotels and in domestic uses of the dishwashing machine.
Medical salt is used in hemodialysis solutions, multiple injection doses, blood filter solutions, and peritoneal dialysis solutions.
